Athletics Track Carnival 2011
We enjoyed wonderful weather for our annual Athletics Track Carnival and it all ran smoothly thanks to a huge collaborative effort from staff, parents and students. Many thanks to Miss Rose for organising the carnival and Mrs Jo Rutherford for her catering. Thanks also to the parents who assisted on the day and who ran in the parent relay. Special mention goes to James F and his mum for their efforts in cleaning up the grandstand and collecting lost property. A full report on all the events will be printed in next week‘s Lyrebird.

Athletics Field Carnival 2011
LEPS was blessed with good weather for our Annual Year 3-6 Athletics Field Events Carnival held at Bannockburn Oval on Thursday 4 August 2011. It was a wonderful day!
Well done to all the children who participated in the Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus and Novelty Games. Our outstanding athletes will now represent LEPS at the August 25 Ku-ring-gai Zone Carnival.

2010 Regional Athletics Carnival
LEPS had 16 students representing Ku-ring-gai Zone in the carnival at the end of September. Congratulations to all students and good luck to the seven athletes who qualified for the State Carnival at Homebush in October. For full results, see the Sport Section.
The Senior and Junior AFL Premiership winning sides for 2010. Both teams under the guidance of Ms Desmond and Mr Roe had strong wins against St Ives North Public School.
LEPS had six netball sides make the semis this year. In a very tough competition, our Senior Red team successfully won the trophy. Thanks, Miss Hannan, Miss Marquet and Mrs Adams, for your dedicated and skilled coaching of the sides.
