In the International Year of Biodiversity and the year of Learning for Sustainability, Lindfield East Public School has identified sustainability education as a target with the formation of a major committee.
The committee work is to further improve sustainable initiatives and practices currently in place and work towards reducing the impact of our carbon footprint by implementing a number of new projects. These will include:
- waste usage and management
- energy usage and management
- carbon emission
- solid waste and its management
- biodiversity
- embedding sustainability across the Key Learning Areas
