Farewell Rosemary Chowne

This week, the highly respected and much loved Mrs Chowne bid farewell to LEPS and a stellar career in public education. Her career started at LEPS in 1995, with her specialisation being the early child-hood years. Over the decades, Mrs Chowne provided hundreds of our K-2 students with the best possible start to formal schooling. Her warm and nurturing style are emblematic of the qualities needed to engage and guide inquisitive young minds. Mrs Chowne's other passion, environmental education, has inspired LEPS in the development of an eco-garden, bush trail and numer-ous sustainability initiatives. Always dignified, respectful and commit-ted to students, teachers and parents alike, Mrs Chowne will be long remembered to this school community. Thank you to all the parents and students who contributed to her farewell gift (a beautiful vase). We wish Mrs Rosemary Chowne a well earned retirement from Public Education.
