Support Teacher Learning Assistance (STLA/LaST)
The role of the STLA/LaST teachers are to assist the school cater for students K-6 who may need additional support across the curriculum or in the social arena. Assistance is provided to class teachers, executive and parents in assessing students and implementing appropriate differentiation and programs according to individual needs.
Minilit/MultiLit
The Macquarie University Multilit and Multilit programs are successfully implemented at Lindfield East Public School by Mrs VanLoon and Mrs Hartcliff, with invaluable assistance given by a few wonderful parent helpers. Students are placed in small groups or on individual programs where explicit instruction provides an intensive focus on developing reading skills.
