K – 2 classes are busy learning music by playing, singing, performing and dancing.
Kindergarten and Year 1 students focus on the basic elements in music and learn about musical instruments, what they are made from, how they are played and what they sound like.
Years 1 & 2 continue learning about different elements in music such as rhythm, pitch, tempo, etc. They enjoy singing a variety of ‘Australian songs & dances' such as Waltzing Matilda, Home Among The Gum Trees, Kookaburra, Taba Naba, Heel & Toe Polka - to name a few.
All K-2 classes perform at grandparent's day and impress the audience by not only singing beautifully but by being able to play instruments and include actions.
